Ci sara` la celebrazione eucaristica presieduta dall`Emerito Cardinale Joseph Zen seguita da un programma di commemorazione di Chiara.

La conferenza interdisciplinare avra` questo titolo:  “Patterns of Unity: An Interdisciplinary Dialogue on the Thought of Chiara Lubich”

Il Paradigma dell’Unità: Un Dialogo Interdisciplinare sul Pensiero di Chiara Lubich (1920-2208), le discipline saranno: Teologia, EdC, Educazione e Dialogo interreligioso e Cultura dell’Unita’ tra le discipline.

La conferenza sara` tenuta il 12-13 aprile 2013, presso l`Universita` Cattolica Fu Jen dove Chiara nel 1997 aveva ricevuto il conferimento ad HC della laurea in Teologia.

On Sunday the 17^th February 2013, 130 persons from all parts of Goa gathered at Nirmala Institute, Panjim, Goa, for the Focolare Day and to commemorate the 5^th death anniversary of its foundress Chiara Lubich. The day was further given an international flavour with two focolarini, from Germany and Panama. 

We had our very own band beating live music, a group comprising of Gen and volunteers who had been practising for weeks, to make this day all the more exceptional; and it was worth all the dedication and love they put in! 

A short video of Chiara from the 80’s was then shown, where she urged us to be the builders and pillars of unity in today’s world, which she said, can be achieved through true Christian love. A few experiences were then shared, through which it was evident that its indeed possible to spread this unity and love wherever we may be in life. Many echoed this was the best part of the day along with games that were held later. 

The Eucharistic celebration was then held in remembrance of the 5th Death Anniversary of Chiara and concluded with a moving tribute to Chiara.  

The afternoon session started vibrantly with the Gen 3 performing two action songs with the participation of the whole hall followed by games.  These games were based on the six points of the ‘Cube of Love’.  Each group had one scroll with one part of the six messages of the cube, and when brought together the different pieces of the puzzle needed to ‘unite’ to reveal the message. As one Gen put it, “It was fun to see people of different age groups, play, support and cheer the other members…”. There, right before our eyes, there was the building of unity taking place.  

The evening concluded with a short video clip about the history of the Focolare’s Dialogue with our Hindu friends in India. Thus resonating the prayer of Jesus and Chiara Lubich’s vision:  “May they all be One”.

The program consists of  life experiences, songs, interviews, dances,a video clip on Chiara, etc..

at Alberione Hall, St. Paul`s Media Complex, Bandra, Mumbai, India

A two and a half hour program  which retraces the steps of a Journey which began during Chiara`s firt visit to India in 2001, and presents the developments that have followed. Distinguished speakers from various institutions engaged in inter-faith dialogue, will offer insights and share experiences on the impact that the spirituality has had on their life and in the lives of many.

On Thursday, 14th March 2013 a mass will be celebrated  at  Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount, Bandra at 7pm to commemorate Chiara’s 5th Anniversary.
