Keep Going Forward

Chiara Lubich was born ninety-three years ago, on the 22nd of January. We mark this anniversary by posting a thought she has sent to the Focolare Movement on February 1982 from Australia, the continent visited in this period by Maria Voce.

«Dearest all, Today I send you a greeting from Australia.

Our Holy Journey continues, and we cannot pause, much less start going backwards. Jesus said: “Whoever puts his hand to the plough but keeps looking back is unfit for the reign of God” (Lk. 9:62).

Here in Australia, the coat of arms of this young country reminds us of this, because it depicts two animals, chosen precisely because they can’t walk backwards: the kangaroo – the famous kangaroo! – and the emu, an Australian bird.

We, too, must keep going forward courageously».

notre petit groupe du dialogue avec les personnes d’autres convictions trouve dans ce texte toute sa place et nous encourage à continuer l’oeuvre de Chiara dans le respect des personnes en construisant cette humanité plus fraternelle. Le temps n’existe pas adviendra ce que Dieu a promis UT OMNES

mi piace ricordare questa data molto importante anche per mè, anche mio papà compiva gli anni in gennaio e mi piace pensare che sicuramente si è incontrato con Chiara in Paradiso, l’avevamo incontrata a Payern e da allora sono felice di seguirla. Grazie Chiara

Chiara rimane la nostra lampada che ci illumina il percorso quotidiano, la nostra bussola mattutina che ri.orienta i passi, ma penso che la sua grandezza è certamente nell’opera grandissima che ha fatto crescere come le stelle del firmamento, e insegnato a ciascuno il nostro percorso spirituale, che permette di unirci ai fratelli.
