When poverty is a gift

Lariane was a young girl at Bukas Palad, the Focolare’s social program that has been going in the Philippines since 1986, at first in the outskirts of Manila, and then in Cebu, Davao, Tagaytay and La Union. She is now a teacher in a public school, in the province of Cebu. “I try to transmit that same love to my students,” she says.
