On 11 November 2017, at the conference centre in Castel Gandolfo (Rome), the cause for the beatification and sanctification of the Italian politician, Domenico Mangano, was inaugurated through a Mass celebrated by Cardinal João Braz de Aviz, Prefect of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life.
