A couple from Croatia and their experience with the Focolare Movement’s “Paths of Light” project
The Loreto School, the freshness of the first 40 years.
This year five families from four continents are attending the school, which was inaugurated by Chiara Lubich, who also indicated the name “Loreto”. Since 1982, 500 others have participated, while almost 1,500 families have stayed for shorter periods.

The Focolare Movement is a partner of the Laudato Si’ Movement for the Care of Creation. Tomas Insua, the Executive Director, speaks of the great synergy in the commitment to improve our common home.
“Love excuses all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Everything! Anything! It is love in spite of everything.
The existence of struggling couples, separated couples and those in new unions is a cry for help in the world. The “New Families Movement”, a branch of the Focolare, endeavours to support these families.
The 10th World Meeting of Families just concluded. “Be the seed of a more fraternal world” was Pope Francis’ mandate to all those families present.
Alice Carwardine, an Australian Catholic, began her ecological conversion during Lent 2018, by writing a list of exactly forty changes. In seeking a Gospel text to serve as inspiration for this conversion, she chose the moment when Jesus enters the temple and overturns the tables of the money changers and the chairs of the dove sellers (Mt 21:12).
The path of preparation for the Tenth World Meeting of Families, which will be held from 22 to 26 June 2022 in Rome and at the same time in dioceses all over the world, is enriched by a new useful tool after the prayer, the image and the official hymn. “Don’t be afraid to fail: fear is the greatest obstacle to welcoming Christ and His plan for our lives! Be careful of fear!”, the Holy Father powerfully warns us.
The whole family life is, in its entireness, “the first school of human values, where one learns the good use of freedom” (AL 274).
