Today, 14 March, marks the 10th anniversary of Chiara Lubich’s passing. We publish a short video showing her extraordinary life: from the little city of Trent, in the north of Italy, right up to “the very ends of the earth”. It illustrates her discovery of God as Love, during World War II, and the development of a spirituality of communion suited to today’s times, fruit of the gift of the charism of unity for the Church and humanity.
The Focolare Movement pays heartfelt tribute to Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor who died on 1 September aged 85 for the wisdom and warm support received over many years. In our friendship and contacts with him, he always radiated joy and hope – his episcopal motto, “Gaudium et Spes”.
