Young people from Focolare and Corrymeela Community prepare for summer gathering in Ballycastle, entitled 'Many Streams - One River', with everyone in 'streaming' mode!

St. Patrick’s Hall in Holywood played host to an amazing encounter between the Youth of the Focolare Movement and the Corrymeela Community last weekend (22nd / 23rd February 2014).

Shona, Conor and Beth from Corrymeela helped the focolare youth find ways to create a vibrant programme for Mariapolis 2014 – the summer gathering of the Focolare, underpinned by this years theme: “Many Streams…One River!”

Corrymeela treated those present to some of their favourite energiser games and helped find solutions to previous obstacles!

Together we ‘streamed’ ahead with the planning and preparation for the Mariapolis with a programme beginning to come together for the Youth, writes Conleth.  “We realised this year’s Mariapolis will have a new and exciting dynamic – matched with the prospect of such an event taking place in Northern Ireland for the first time!”

“It’s what I’m looking forward to this summer,” said Conor from the Corrymeela Community.

The river is beginning to flow and is gathering real momentum. Watch this space for more updates as we journey towards Ballycastle!!
