In Augsburg, the City of Peace, the 40th Conference of Bishops of various Churches promoted by the Focolare Movement took place from 26th February to 1st March 2024. 60 Bishops from 27 nations, from 29 different Churches took part. At a time when winds of war are blowing, we are reminded that 25 years have passed since the signing of the Lutheran-Catholic Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification, an historic step of reconciliation.
