A family Word of Life group, which meets in a Houston area parish, recently came up with the idea to organize a Date Night for area couples. The evening had the theme of building unity in the family. An exhibition held in support of victims in war-torn countries. It consists of a wall composed of handmade tiles which can be lifted off and taken home. Joelma Regis, the project creator, explains: “We are all connected and together we can help tear down the walls of indifference in our everyday lives.”

On May 8, Most Reverend Blaise Cupich of the Archdiocese of Chicago met with the lay movements operating within the Chicago Archdiocese. There were twenty five lay movements present including Communion and Liberation, Legion of Mary, Marriage Encounter, and Cursillo among others.[more]
