A family Word of Life group, which meets in a Houston area parish, recently came up with the idea to organize a Date Night for area couples. The evening had the theme of building unity in the family. Members of the Chicago Focolare community participated in the annual Prayer for Christian Unity event organized by Ecumenism Metro Chicago. Nine christian churches were represented in the ecumenical prayer service.[more]

On May 8, Most Reverend Blaise Cupich of the Archdiocese of Chicago met with the lay movements operating within the Chicago Archdiocese. There were twenty five lay movements present including Communion and Liberation, Legion of Mary, Marriage Encounter, and Cursillo among others.[more]
