The first annual prize of the Chiara Badano Foundation is underway
Chiara Luce Badano Prize 2022
A youth competition dedicated to the young girl from Sassello, Italy, beatified in 2010. The jury, headed by Chiara Luce’s mother, Maria Teresa Badano, will vote on artistic submissions in two age categories: 10-16 years and 17-35 years. The award ceremony will be held on 29 October in Sassello.

On 6–7 March 2022 Focolare’s president and co-president were in Sassello, Italy, the birthplace of Blessed Chiara Luce Badano in the province of Savona. It was an intimate, personal meeting with Chiara Luce and the foundation that protects and promotes her memory.

Blessed Chiara Luce Badano was born on 29th October 1971. Events held in various parts of the world will mark this day. In her birthplace Sassello (Italy), Holy Mass will be celebrated and there will also be the Timeout and the projection of an unpublished video interview with her parents, compiled by the Chiara Badano Foundation.
