R. C. è da 28 anni in Brasile, in un famigerato bairro di una grande città. “Se qui c’è tanto dolore, se qui è Venerdì Santo, ne nascerà tanta vita e risurrezione”. Apre la “Casa do menor”: accoglie i ragazzi di strada vittime di droga, prostituzione, narcotraffico, morte precoce. Ragazzi spesso violenti, perché nessuno li ha mai amati.
