}\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<h2>Chiara Lubich<\/h2>\n<p>Chiara Lubich (1920-2008) is the<strong><span> <\/span>founder of the Focolare Movement<\/strong>. Its goal is to contribute towards the fulfillment of Jesus\u2019 prayer: <strong><span> <\/span>\u201cMay they all be one\u201d<\/strong><span> <\/span>(Jn 17:21).<\/p>\n<p>Chiara, a great charismatic figure of our times, is well known for her tireless work to increase<span> <\/span><strong>communion, fraternity and peace<\/strong><span> <\/span>among people of different Churches, with followers of various world religions and with people who have no religious belief.<\/p>\n<p>Many <span> <\/span><strong>honorary degrees are awarded to Chiara Lubich <\/strong><span> <\/span>by international academic institutions, in a number of disciplines (theology, philosophy, psychology, economics, social sciences, etc.).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chiara built a relationship of friendship with Popes, heads of Churches, founders of movements and political and civil leaders,<\/strong><span> <\/span>Chiara Lubich has left a great legacy that does not cease to inspire individuals and groups<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=&#8221;1_3,1_3,1_3&#8243; The current president is <span> <\/span><strong>Margaret Karram<\/strong><span> <\/span>and the co-president is<span> <\/span><strong>Roberto Almada<\/strong>. The presidents are assisted by a <strong><span> <\/span>General council<\/strong><span> <\/span>which include representatives of every part of the Movement and its different aspects.<\/p>\n<p>All positions of responsibility last for five years and can be confirmed only once for the same position.
