{"id":291712,"date":"2010-01-14T23:00:00","date_gmt":"2010-01-14T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/haiti-emergency\/"},"modified":"2024-05-13T20:39:57","modified_gmt":"2024-05-13T18:39:57","slug":"haiti-emergency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/haiti-emergency\/","title":{"rendered":"Haiti emergency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>We are trying to keep up with breaking news about the devastating earthquake in Haiti<\/strong>, the poorest country in Central America, where much of the capital Port au Prince has been reduced to rubble.  <strong>As an act of solidarity,<\/strong> throughout the Movement people are responding to this emergency, and to the need for reconstruction.  <strong>We would like to assure the supporters of \u201cSostegno a Distanza\u201d (Adoptions at a Distance) <\/strong>that the children involved in this educational project in the north east of Haiti have not been directly affected. \u201cThey are all safe, we felt some tremors, but there was no damage.
