{"id":292510,"date":"2011-05-26T15:34:35","date_gmt":"2011-05-26T13:34:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/kenya-a-meeting-of-the-bishop-friends-of-the-focolare\/"},"modified":"2024-05-13T20:43:04","modified_gmt":"2024-05-13T18:43:04","slug":"kenya-a-meeting-of-the-bishop-friends-of-the-focolare","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/kenya-a-meeting-of-the-bishop-friends-of-the-focolare\/","title":{"rendered":"Kenya: A Meeting of the Bishop Friends of the Focolare"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/20110526-05.jpg\"><img alt=\"\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-37723\" style=\"margin-left: 10px;border: 0pt none\" src=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/20110526-05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"269\" height=\"202\" \/><\/a>From May 23 to 28 a large meeting of Bishop Friends of the Focolare  took place at Mariapolis Piero, the \u201clittle city\u201d of witness of the  Focolare Movement in Kenya.\u00a0 The 21 Bishops came from South Africa,  Angola, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi and Kenya.\u00a0 Their desire was to \u201c<em>Rediscover God\u2019s Plan in the Present Time<\/em>\u201d.  The meeting was rich in its theological reflections and its updatings  on the present situation of the Church.\u00a0 There was a presentation of  concrete experiences of Gospel life.\u00a0 Interspersed throughout the event  were times set aside for meditation, celebrations, and prayers in  common.  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/BishopsMeetingKenya.jpg\"><img alt=\"\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-37421\" style=\"margin-right: 10px;border: 0pt none\" src=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/BishopsMeetingKenya-210x137.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"137\" \/><\/a>For a number of years, in the various geographical areas of the  African continent, meetings of Bishops have taken place.\u00a0 These  meetings have taken their inspiration from the \u201cspirituality of  communion\u201d proposed by recent Popes and highlighted by the experience of  the Focolare Movement.\u00a0 As a followup to the meeting in Kenya, two  additional meetings will take place, one at <strong>Moramanga (Madagascar) <\/strong><strong>and the other at Bamenda\/Fontem (Cameroon)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mariapolis Piero (Nairobi &#8211; Kenya): \u201cRediscovering God&#8217;s Plan in the Present Time\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":33,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"give_campaign_id":0,"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-292510","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-non-categorizzato"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/292510","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/33"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=292510"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/292510\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=292510"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=292510"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=292510"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
