{"id":326956,"date":"2015-01-06T05:00:53","date_gmt":"2015-01-06T04:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/the-lords-manifestation-to-the-magi\/"},"modified":"2024-05-16T14:59:06","modified_gmt":"2024-05-16T12:59:06","slug":"the-lords-manifestation-to-the-magi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/the-lords-manifestation-to-the-magi\/","title":{"rendered":"The Lord\u2019s Manifestation to the Magi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/20150106-01.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-116943\" src=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/20150106-01.jpeg\" alt=\"20150106-01\" width=\"247\" height=\"235\" \/><\/a><\/strong>The star invites us to set out on a journey,<\/p>\n<p>and wants to free us from the chains that bind<\/p>\n<p>us down to our own selves, or to a pure and simple system.<\/p>\n<p>It spurs us on, to undertake a journey to a place<\/p>\n<p>we have never been to before.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is what the star wants.<\/p>\n<p>and the nature of this star is that it goes beyond, but also stops.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It crosses the desert and moves further, up to the most<\/p>\n<p>remote places, but then it stops above a house.<\/p>\n<p>And which house is it?<\/p>\n<p>Could it be my school, for example, or my office,<\/p>\n<p>or however, there where I usually work.<\/p>\n<p>The star has stopped there and says,\u201cThis is the place: right here!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And then, as I return home,<\/p>\n<p>it stops above my home, my little world: that is where<\/p>\n<p>the star has stopped.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In this place where I am right now<\/p>\n<p>I have to find the precious things, the things that matter.<\/p>\n<p>But I will find these precious things, the things that count,<\/p>\n<p>only when I discover that the star has stopped also above my neighbour\u2019s house.<\/p>\n<p>That is where I will find Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>(K.
