{"id":327498,"date":"2015-08-24T04:00:43","date_gmt":"2015-08-24T02:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/fragments-of-light-at-loppiano\/"},"modified":"2024-05-16T15:01:09","modified_gmt":"2024-05-16T13:01:09","slug":"fragments-of-light-at-loppiano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/fragments-of-light-at-loppiano\/","title":{"rendered":"Fragments of light at Loppiano"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Ciro-Cipollone.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-127652 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Ciro-Cipollone.jpg\" alt=\"Ciro Cipollone\" width=\"467\" height=\"192\" \/><\/a>  Thousands come together around the work of this Italian artist that is so in tune with Pope Francis\u2019s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/news\/2015\/06\/19\/laudato-si-per-una-ecologia-integrale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laudato s\u00ec.<\/a> <\/em>For years Ciro has been recycling scrap material for his creations.  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Lo-Sbarco.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-127653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Lo-Sbarco.png\" alt=\"Lo-Sbarco\" width=\"380\" height=\"253\" \/><\/a>Known as <strong>Ciro, Roberto Cipollone<\/strong> not only welcomes visitors, but runs workshops for young and old that bring them into direct contact with the materials that will be transformed and modeled together: \u201ca pure way of seeing, simple, direct contact with the beautiful without any tinsel,\u201d says the artist. <em> <\/em>  Besides the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.labottegadiciro.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">studio <\/a>in <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/loppiano.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Loppiano<\/a>, <\/strong>which is the true creative workshop, a <strong>permanent workshop <\/strong>has been set up by Sergio Pandolfi.  <div id=\"attachment_127651\" style=\"width: 295px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Ciro5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-127651\" class=\"wp-image-127651\" src=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Ciro5.jpg\" alt=\"Ciro5\" width=\"285\" height=\"212\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-127651\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ciro&#8217;s exhibition at Camaldoli<\/p><\/div>  During the month of August Ciro is displaying 40 more or less religious works at the Monastery of <strong>Camaldoli, <\/strong> in a small Romanesque church dedicated to the Holy Spirit that is located within the monastery. \u201cThe pieces and the Romanesque architecture go together perfectly,\u201d Ciro says, \u201cI\u2019ve brought some works in stone and wood \u2013 and the Romanesque environment makes them come alive.\u201d Many visitors to Camaldoli can admire, enjoy and even pray with the pieces within the deep silence of the monastery. The show will be open on weekends from August 21st to September 13th.  But that\u2019s not all.
