From 5:00 p.m. to 6:00p.m., testimonies by the ecclesial movements, among whom Maria Voce of the Focolare Movement.<\/p><\/div> A moment of prayer and testimony<\/strong> of faith gathered around Pope Francis and the Synod Fathers, sponsored by the Italian Episcopal Conference. \u201cI am convinced that in your associations, movements, and new communities many beautiful lights of the family are visible, and I would like them to illuminate St. Peter\u2019s Square like a torch on the evening of the vigil<\/a> with Pope Francis on October 3rd<\/sup>,\u201d declared Mons. Galantino, Secretary General of the CEI (Italian Episcopal Conference), inviting representatives of associations and ecclesial movements to the big date of the prayer vigil for the opening of the XIV Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops (October 4th<\/sup> to 25th<\/sup>), which has as the theme, \u201cThe Vocation and Mission of the Family in the Church and Contemporary World.\u201d <\/p>\n

This initiative is a people\u2019s response to the Holy Father\u2019s multiple appeals for prayer for the family and for the work of the Synod Fathers. Among the testimonies expected, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.<\/strong>, will be those of the representatives of ecclesial movements, among whom Maria Voce, president of the Focolare Movement<\/a>, Kiko Arg\u00fcello, initiator of the Neocatechumenal Way<\/a>, Juli\u00e1n Carr\u00f3n, president of Communion and Liberation<\/a>, Salvatore Martinez, president of the Renewal in the Holy Spirit Movement<\/a>, and Matteo Truffelli, president of the Italian Catholic Action<\/a>.<\/p>\n
