War only brings destruction and multiplies the sufferings of entire populations,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/news\/2015\/10\/09\/in-preghiera-per-il-medio-oriente-e-il-continente-africano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stated Pope Francis <\/a>during the works of the Synod on the Family.  \u201cThank you for your prayers, for this situation we are going through in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/focolare-worldwide\/asia\/israele\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Holy Land<\/a>,\u201d writes the local Focolare Community there. \u201cThe hatred leads to violence, and the violence to more hatred . . . a vicious circle is spinning out of control. You can see the situation here transmitted on the media every day. All of us, from both sides, like many other people are deeply saddened and feel helpless in front of this evil.
