In a communication to all the members of the Movement,  <strong>Maria Voce highlighted the \u201cedifying<\/strong>\u201d way in which Vlk lived the last period of his life, marked by a great weakening but at the same time by \u201ca continuous attitude of gratitude to God for the gifts he had received from Him.\u201d  <strong>She underlined the \u201cvery deep bond\u201d the Cardinal had with the Focolare Movement<\/strong> \u201csince the start of his clandestine ministry in the time when Czechoslovakia was under the communist regime.\u201d She expressed immense gratitude for his commitment and devotion with which for 18 years, he carried out his role as moderator of the group of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/movimento-dei-focolari\/scelte-e-impegno\/vescovi\/\">Bishops <\/a>who declare themselves \u201cfriends of the Movement,\u201d activities he followed with great interest and participation even from the hospital.  <strong>Maria Voce denoted that Cardinal Miloslav was<\/strong> \u201csurrounded by prayers of the Diocesan community, members of the Movement, friends of other Christian denominations, and both Jews and Muslims with whom he had undertaken years of dialogue.\u201d \u00a0She also cited the \u201cmany testimonials of his example of humility, communion and evangelical wisdom, which underlined the way he made himself simply a \u201cbrother\u201d to all, and also his authority as a \u201cfather\u201d who was able to give enthusiasm and motivate those around him.\u201d  \u201cWe have a great heritage before us,\u201d <strong>Maria Voce concluded<\/strong>, and it is \u201cA heritage to treasure and discover more deeply.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cWe are dealing with a great heritage to treasure and discover in depth.\u201d This is what Maria Voce wrote upon announcing the death of Cardinal Vlk to the members of the Focolare.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":34,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"give_campaign_id":0,"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-329008","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-non-categorizzato"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/329008","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/34"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=329008"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/329008\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=329008"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=329008"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=329008"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
