In her concluding remarks at an open meeting held by the Focolare in the Royal Dublin Society on 16 June, Maria Voce stated: \u201cThe powerful experience lived in Ireland with this Eucharistic Congress<\/strong> <\/a>is an extraordinary grace that can give the Church of Ireland a new start, and we are all to be the protagonists.\u201d Just before, she and Giancarlo Faletti had met with teenagers who were concluding their Run4Unity<\/strong><\/a> that was held in several schools. \u201cWhat is your favourite <\/strong>mathematical symbol<\/em><\/strong>?\u201d<\/strong> the youngsters asked. \u201cThe equal sign<\/strong>,\u201d Maria Voce <\/a>responded, \u201cbecause in a family, sisters and brothers are all equal.\u201d Giancarlo Faletti preferred the \u201cplus sign\u201d<\/strong>. \u201cEvery person is a gift of God, there\u2019s a plan of God on each one of you, and this is what is totally precious.\u201d<\/p>\n The program continued in the afternoon with an\u00a0 open meeting for 300 people \u2013 <\/strong>the seating capacity of the hall, and others stood outside \u2013 with many new faces among the Irish focolarini. There were practical applications of the spirituality of communion in the family<\/strong>, at school<\/strong>, and in Church environments<\/strong>. Everything interspersed with pieces of music. Each musical selection was followed by a moment of dialogue on how to put the Gospel into practice and respond to the many challenges of today.<\/p>\n \u201cIs it easier or more difficult to love your enemy when you become old?<\/em>\u201d on little girl asked. \u201cI think it\u2019s easier,\u201d<\/em> responded Maria Voce, \u201cbecause God has placed a small flame in our heart, and the flame grows each time we love. Old people are much helped when they see a child who loves.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
