Photos on Flickr<\/a><\/p>\n This conference assumes\u00a0 particular significance at a time when Pope Francis<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 voices \u201cthe cry for\u00a0 peace<\/em>\u201d\u00a0 uttered\u00a0 by \u201c the one big family\u00a0 of\u00a0 humanity<\/em>\u201d. The promoters of this conference say this in a letter they wrote to the Pope.<\/p>\n Those involved in the daily task of educating, no matter at what level –\u00a0 families,\u00a0 schools, group leaders, academics,\u00a0 the\u00a0 youngsters themselves –\u00a0 will be the protagonists of this meeting.<\/p>\n The three experts, who\u00a0 will speak about \u201cEducation and Globalization<\/strong>\u201d and its connotations in Latin America, Africa and Europe are: Nieves Tapia, coordinator of the National Programme of Education in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Argentina<\/strong>; Justus Mbae Gitari, Professor of Pedagogy at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi; <\/strong>Giuseppe Milan, Professor of Intercultural\u00a0 and Social Pedagogy at the University of Padua.<\/strong><\/p>\n Paula Luengo Kanacri,\u00a0 from Chile, a researcher at CIRMPA,\u00a0 La Sapienza University, Rome and Teresa Boi, an Italian teacher and educator will lecture on \u201cEducation and Relation\u201d.<\/p>\n A range of\u00a0 subjects will be dealt with during the workshops:\u00a0 from the culture of legality to parent-child relationship; from the prevention of bullying to new media communication; from social integration to opening\u00a0 the school to the city, from sports to dance.<\/p>\n The school \u201cCaf\u00e9 con Leche\u201d<\/strong><\/a> started under a tree in one of the poorest areas in the city of Santo Domingo. <\/a>The main objective of \u201cLearning Fratenity<\/strong><\/a>\u201d, held at Castel Gandolfo, Rome from 6th to 8th September, is to share good practices and initiatives implemented in different cultural contexts to obtain\u00a0 from them shared pedagogical lines of conduct leading to fraternity and peace.\u00a0 The 650 educators from 35 countries attending this conference will participate\u00a0 in lectures, in the sharing of good\u00a0 practices and in workshops.
