\"\"35 organizations coming from Argentina<\/a>, Bolivia<\/a>, Brazil<\/a>, Chile<\/a>, Colombia<\/a>, Cuba<\/a>, El Salvador<\/a>, Ecuador<\/a>, Guatemala<\/a>, Messico<\/a>, Paraguay \u00a0<\/a>and Uruguay <\/a>will be represented in this meeting, which will be held \u00a0from 21 to 24 October 2013 in the small town \u201cGinetta\u201d in S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil.<\/p>\n

It is the first Latin American meeting \u00a0for leaders of social organizations inspired by the charism of unity<\/a> of Chiara Lubich<\/a>.\u00a0 The theme will be \u00a0\u201cFraternity in action: the foundation of social cohesion in the XXI century\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gilvan David de Sousa, one of the promoters of this initiative, said: \u201cOur aim is to identify\u00a0 the main elements of the charism of unity that contribute towards \u00a0a social change \u00a0so as to be able to offer answers to\u00a0 the important questions \u00a0posed \u00a0by our continent\u201d .<\/p>\n

At a time when the current global crisis\u00a0 demands the research\u00a0 for new ways\u00a0 leading to an integral human development, for Sousa \u201cthis meeting\u00a0 should be \u00a0a new stage in the\u00a0 process\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 started\u00a0 to\u00a0 create\u00a0 a network\u00a0 among the different organizations, whose aim is to promote mutual enrichment through the exchange of ideas, experiences, difficulties and\u00a0 to produce a greater social impact\u201d.<\/p>\n

An opportunity to go deeper into the theme of fraternity will be offered through\u00a0 the\u00a0 sharing of experiences and reports,\u00a0\u00a0 group work and\u00a0 the topics of the four plenary sessions, namely \u201cThe social question\u00a0 in the light of the Social Doctrine of the Church\u201d; \u201cThe Charism of Unity and social issues in Latin America and the Caribbean\u201d; \u201c The charism of unity and its implementation in organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean\u201d and \u00a0\u201cHow\u00a0 social projects inspired by the charism of unity can proceed together in the Latin American continent\u201d.<\/p>\n

Fr. Vilson Groh, Vera Ara\u00fajo\u00a0 and Susana Nuin will be among the main speakers.\u00a0 Fr. Vilson Groh ( known in Brazil \u00a0because he has received the Parliamentary Award Darcy Ribeiro 2013),\u00a0 has been working\u00a0 for 30 years in the outskirts of Florian\u00f3polis , Brazil\u00a0\u00a0 for persons deprived of their rights; \u00a0the sociologist Vera Ara\u00fajo\u00a0 is\u00a0 a member of the Focolare\u00a0 Movement entrusted\u00a0 \u00a0with the responsibility\u00a0 at international level \u00a0\u00a0of Dialogue with Culture; Susana Nuin is the executive secretary of \u00a0the Department of Communication of CELAM and Consultant to the Pontifical Council for social communication.<\/p>\n
