Over 50 focolare members and friends gathered in Belfast for the annual update for the Northern Ireland contingent of the Movement.

Catherine Burke and David Hickey, the national coordinators for the Focolare in Ireland, presented the theme for the year “Unity” which is at the heart of its spirituality. A beautiful reflection on this theme was followed by lively “buzz groups” giving the opportunity of sharing and reflecting together. The children enjoyed a separate programme. News worldwide opened us up onto the sense of living for universal fraternity even when confined in local communities. It was a lively afternoon for renewing bonds and making new friends with inspiration to live out the commitment to have unity as our gift, commitment and goal.
