Focolare Easter Gathering in Belfast

A weekend to bring together people from all over Ireland to reflect on how we can built a culture of trust in our homes, local neighborhood, faith and civic communities and institutions. The setting in Belfast and the timing of marking 20 years of journey post Belfast/Good Friday Agreement is not just to reflect on peaceful progress but to create a confidence that together we personally can make a difference.

PR suggestion 2_mr“The world needs dreamers and the world needs doers.
But above all the world needs dreamers who do.” (Sarah Ban Breathnach)

We come from different countries, different backgrounds, ages and faiths.
We dream about a world of tolerance, respect, harmony, brotherly love.
We’re doing a weekend in Belfast to build community together.

Would you like to join us?

During our week-end together we want to build a culture of trust and peace to bring back to our institutions, our local neighbourhoods, our homes, our faith communities.

We want to be a springboard for positive initiatives in local areas whereby people can work together to serve those who are most isolated, most on the margins of their communities.

Join us for a weekend of talks, personal testimonies and sharing on how we can all be dreamers and doers for our communities today.

Keynote speaker: Brian Rowan – journalist, author and broadcaster.
He was the BBC security editor until 2005 and reported on the major developments in the transition from conflict to peace. He has written several books on that process – the latest Unfinished Peace published by Colourpoint Books. Four times he has been a category winner in the NI Journalist of the Year awards, including twice as specialist journalist.
