The President and Co-president of the Focolare Movement spent a month in Brazil to meet the local communities and live the experience of the Genfest, a worldwide event promoted by the young people of the Movement. From 26th January to 1st February 2026, Rome hosted 100 young political leaders from 36 countries for the conclusion of the first year of the two-year political formation programme “One Humanity, One Planet: Synodal Leadership”—a challenge to develop a different style of governance, starting from the paradigm of fraternity.
The event will be divided into two phases and will include an immersion in Latin American communities, followed by a congress in Buenos Aires
