What is this love like? … Since it is a participation in the very love that is in God, which is God himself, it differs from human love in infinite ways. But there are two aspects, above all, in which it is different. Human love makes distinctions, it has preferences, it loves some brothers and sisters, for example blood relatives, people who are educated, rich, good looking, distinguished, healthy or young; it loves those who belong to a particular ethnicity or class, but it does not love others in the same way. Divine love, instead, loves everybody. It is universal.
The second difference is the fact that, in human love, we love because we are loved. And even when love is beautiful, we love something of ourselves in the other person. There is always something selfish in human love, or that waits to love only when self-interest prompts us.
So if we want to let our ‘new self’ live in us; if we want to let the flame of supernatural love burn in us, we too must love everybody and be the first to love. Basically, we must be like Jesus, other Jesuses. Jesus died on the cross for everybody: his love was universal. And with that death he was the first to love.

Une nouvelle façon de voir les choses :
Est-ce possible d’arrêter notre égoïsme : moi d’abord, les autres après.
Est-ce possible de faire sacrifice de notre personne pour laisser passer son frère avant nous.
Est ce que j’y arriverai ?
Oui, j’en ai conscience que c’est par là le chemin, mon chemin.
J’en ai conscience que c’est là, la vérité.
C’est à dire, accepter de s’éteindre pour laisser l’autre passer devant moi.
Arriver à cela me donne un sacré bonheur. Je le sens. Mais est ce dans mes capacités actuelles d’y parvenir ? Accepter de s’éteindre, est ce la même chose que d’accepter de mourir pour l’autre.
On en connaît beaucoup de personnes qui ont fait ce chemin.
Mais moi, est ce que je peux cela ?
Est-ce que je peux renoncer à ce semblant de bonheur que je vis ?
Et, d’abord suis je vraiment heureux, heureuse ?
Tous les jours, les médias nous rapportent les faits extrêmement durs de la société.
Puis je continuer de vivre, d’accepter de vivre dans mon confort, dans mon semblant de confort que je possède ?
Le monde prend conscience de cette injustice des gens riches et des gens pauvres. Les gens riches qui possèdent à eux seuls une grande partie des richesses mondiales au détriment des gens pauvres. Nous sommes responsables quand nous utilisons des droits au détriment des autres qui n’ont rien. Et nous oublions que par notre égoïsme, la terre se meure.
