Focolare Movement

The wisdom of the meek

Memories of Anna Fratta (Doni) from Lucia Abignente, an Italian Focolarina who joined her in Poland for several years. A life of complete “giving”, true to the name given her by Chiara Lubich.

A unifying bridge

Helping hope to bear fruit. This was the seed that Pope Francis planted during his apostolic journey to Budapest on 12 September, at the concluding mass of the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress, just before traveling to Slovakia. The highlight of this brief stop was the Statio Orbis, “a pause for commitment and prayer” in which the individual churches united in communion with the pope around the Eucharistic mystery to deepen their faith. Some Focolare members who were present at the event tell of their experience.

Ivory Coast, finding new ways to support others

People living in  the Focolare Movement’s little town of Victoria in Man, Ivory Coast, have shown great tenacity during the pandemic. Covid 19 did not stop the activities of the Health Centre or the Nutritional Centre.  The Movement’s  extraordinary Communion of Goods has helped  to support many people in need.

The worldwide campaign “A vaccine for all”

The campaign promoting access for all to Covid-19 vaccines will be launched on 20th May along with a symbolic action to bring healthcare to the native populations of the Amazon. It is sponsored by an international network of organizations from different cultures and religions.

Live every moment well

Chiara Lubich speaks of the present moment: by living each moment well, we can develop very good habits. Our charity, mutual love and union with God grow, and our soul is filled with calmness, peace and joy all day long.

Jesus forsaken: monument of perfection

To love Jesus in his abandonment on the cross means to love him in the pains and sacrifices that being attentive to our neighbor entails. This is a true way to perfection in Christian life as Chiara Lubich communicates to us through her experience.
