Carmen Hernandez, co-founder with Kiko Argüello  of the Neocatechumenal Way, passed away at the age of 85 on 19 July. A deep friendship binds the Focolare Movement to the Way, to which we convey our support and gratitude. Jesús Morán, Co-President of the Focolare Movement will attend the funeral.

At the Monastery of Halki, the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, Bartholomew I meets with 35 bishops from 16 Churches who gather for the 34th ecumenical meeting of Bishop Friends of the Focolare. The Movement’s president, Maria Voce, and co-president Jesús Morán also attend.
