This weekend will take place in Bohìo del Aguila Arpia (Panama) a day on the theme: Be always a family, to remember Chiara Lubich and to deepen the thought of her about the family. The afternoon includes a program for families and children. A number of topics about the life of the couple, enriched by experiences and sharing among participants and a parallel program for children.

The families of Panama, immersed in a society characterized by consumerism, fast-paced, often expressed in little time to dedicate to the children, to the couple, they are always in a hurry.

A small group of families in February 2005, drawing inspiration from what Chiara Lubich in 1967, by announcing the birth of the New Families Movement, decided to create a space for the family to share, with other families,  moments of dialogue, as a time-out, to show the beauty of being a family.

By means walks and moments of leisure in the Municipal Park we found ourselves among families in a friendly atmosphere and in the natural environment.

From the idea to the initiative.
After that time they have followed other and we invited friends, neighbors, co-workers with a single objective: Staying family, until this moment it has become an annual event in which most people do not give up.

Whenever you experience joy, happiness, contact with a new way to relate lived every moment.
The day is marked by the parents play with children, young couples, etc ..

Food preparation, organizing walks around easily without facilities, in a informalee atmosphere of communion and sharing.
It is not uncommon to experience that we are a family where the colleague of my sister is my partner, my family. The neighbor’s son of my friend’s house, it’s my son, my family. Until even the stranger who is in the area, it is no longer a stranger, but is welcomed and also experience him being in a big family.

Somebody has confided that the day at the National Park it was a very nice experience sharing, another lady said that she woke up in the morning feeling a lot of physical pain and was almost determined not to participate, but after being with us he could not to explain why the pain disappeared, and came home relaxed and happy … very happy.

A young couple approached an organizer of family and shared their desire to formalize their union in the church, after so many years they were married only civil marriage.
A colleague of one of us … Brother, thank you for giving me the opportunity to participate in this beautiful day, despite the short time that I have shared with you, I felt the presence of God. We have been blessed and we thank him for that.
