On the morning of 16th July, 1949, in the serene Capuchin church in Fiera di Primiero, nestled within the Dolomites, Chiara Lubich experienced a transformative moment that would profoundly influence her life and the future of the Focolare Movement. This pivotal day marked the beginning of what she would later describe as a period of divine enlightenment, a moment she documented in detail on 8th April, 1986. From 12th-30th July Brazil-Italy, a single Genfest with the slogan “Together to Care”. Maria Chiara Biagioni tells us about the nationwide activities taking place in Italy in consonance with the main Genfest in Brazil. Local Genfests are taking place in many countries throughout the world. Ireland will be represented at the Genfest in Germany. Margaret Karram and Jesus Moran are already in Brazil not only to attend the Genfest but to visit local communities.

The International Interreligious Conference “One Human Family” has just ended. It began on May 31st at the Mariapolis Centre in Castel Gandolfo (Rome), and ended yesterday with a pilgrimage of the fraternity to Assisi. On June 3, a delegation of 200 participants was received in audience by Pope Francis. Roberto Catalano shares an insight into the importance of this audience.
