#Do you care? – A weekend for young people.

The IS attacks in Paris and brutal murders of hostages in Syria, has created new tensions in Islamic communities, and between Moslems and Christians. In the wake of what is widely seen as a step backwards in the path of interreligious dialogue, comes a weekend in London for young people dedicated to Multiculturism and Dialogue called Regenerate. "Recent events have shown us how important dialogue is, and how we have to take a strong stand to demonstrate our belief that we are all brothers and sisters and that unity is possible," said Santi, a young Spanish student who is participating at the event. On 13th February a group of young people from Ireland will travel to the UK to participate in the event.

Regenerate is an annual youth conference organised by Youth for a United World (Y4UW), promoting dialogue between young people of different cultures and religions. Regenerate has been organised by Youth for a United World since 2008.

Regenerate

This year the theme of Regenerate will focus on multiculturalism and interfaith relations, with dialogue as the key to ensuring a harmonious coexistence between people of different nationalities and faiths. Young people from the IUS (Islamic Unity Society) will also play a key role in the weekend.

The main guest speaker will be Angela Graham, freelance journalist and producer who has worked on more than 100 documentary and factual programmes for the BBC, ITV, S4C and Channel 4.

Dr Mohammed Ali Shomali, a Muslim scholar based in London, will also address the conference via Skype.

Regenerate will take place on 14/15th February at the Focolare Centre for Unity in Welwyn Garden City, UK.
