An Ireland that cares for everyone

Watch the webinar that took place Saturday, May 8th 2021

Our key-note speaker Dr Tom Healy, author of “An Ireland worth working for” and former director of the Nevin Economic Research Institute, will address the challenges and opportunities involved in working towards a society in which everyone is cared for.

Dr Healy will also address different levels in which the concept of care can be put into action and states that it starts at an individual and family level, then moves to communities, workplaces and enterprises; with the final step of bringing care into policy-making and politics.

Dr Healy will be joined by Paula Byrne, CEO of Merchants Quay Ireland, Tony O’Reilly from the Northwest Forum for People with Disabilities, and Chris MacCartney of Repair Café Belfast, who will address how they contribute to a society that fosters relationships and care for people from all backgrounds and aim to build strong community partnerships.

This event is part of the international #daretocare online convention from 7-9/5/2021 which will engage participants in workshops and webinars on putting care at the centre of everything we do. http://www.unitedworldproject.org/en/uww2021 The international #daretocare campaign promotes active involvement with and appreciation of the most vulnerable in society and commitment to the health of the planet by having care as the guiding principle of action.
