The theme of this years festival is ‘The Art of Listening’
Armoy, 21 years on!
For my small village (Armoy) on the North Antrim Coast in Northern Ireland, the 5th October 1994 would prove to be significant date in its history. A date that precedes my birth. A date that marks the meeting of neighbours who did not know each other. Conflict and civil conflict had caused division and segregation within areas like ours. On that dusky October night there was agreement to form the Armoy Community Association (ACA). An encounter that would in time take root to transform our people and our place.

Dialogue is a Gift- Diversity an invitation to Dialogue!
On Thursday 26th February 2015 the Duncairn Arts and Cultural Centre, North Belfast, was the venue for an evening of authentic and real dialogue. Organised by the Focolare Movement, over 50 people gathered to extend the highly successful 4corners Festival which ran at the beginning of February, with an evening entitled: “Imagine a World Enriched by Diversity!” – described by the host of the night, Barry Redmond from Dublin, as the “Fifth corner” of the festival!

Monthly Focolare youth meetings in Belfast City Centre go virtual!!!
Every third Wednesday of the month a group of young adults meet for a “time-out” in the busy lives of being a student or worker. “We take the monthly thought on the ‘Word of Life’ written by the founder of the Focolare, Chiara Lubich to be inspired by the Words of the Gospel.We chat and share about our own thoughts and experiences on it,” says one participant.

It’s all about uniting the world and working together to promote equality, raise awareness of poverty and experience different lifestyles in order to establish friendships which can grow and be a basis for a more peaceful world.
