The words of Margaret Karram and Roberto Almada from the 2026 Assembly
With over two-thirds of the votes cast by participants at the General Assembly and a long round of applause, Margaret Karram was re-elected yesterday, 12 March 2026, as President of the Focolare Movement for a second term (2026-2031).
The Emergency Coordination Team of the Focolare Movement is renewing its appeal for solidarity to help thousands of families fleeing their homes.
An invitation that echoes the Resurrection and opens the way to a new life based not on our own strength, but on the grace of God who conquers every fear. Even in difficulties and crises, the love of Christ is present and, if lived in communion with others, is capable of giving even greater courage ...
The goal: to cooperate in building a more united world, inspired by Jesus’ prayer to the Father
“may they all be one” (Jn 17:21),
respecting and valuing diversity.
The Movement, which started in the Catholic Church,
includes Christians of different Churches and ecclesial communities. It collaborates with members of other religions and people of non-religious beliefs.
