Since 2014, there has been a community of focolarini living in the “Morro della Croce”. They share the simple and poor life of this teeming favela in Florianópolis. From 30th December 2025 – 7th January 2026, the fifth edition of the annual international meeting for teenagers of the Focolare Movement will take place at the Mariapolis Centre in Castel Gandolfo (Rome).
On 28 October 2025, a commemorative event entitled “Walking Together in Hope” was held in the Vatican, in the Paul VI Hall, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Conciliar Declaration Nostra Aetate on the Church’s relationships with all the other religions.
