Peace for Gaza

Peace for Gaza is the title of the prayer vigil promoted by the Community of Sant'Egidio together with other organisations and associations, including the Focolare Movement.

The event will take place on Monday, 22 September 2025 at 7.30 p.m. (Italian time) in Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere in Rome (Italy). A video link from Jerusalem with Cardinal Pizzaballa is also planned. Follow the live broadcast here.

    Thank you! We need this prayer so badly. I hope it repeats in smaller groups all over the world. Prayer is our only weapon in this conquest for Peace because only God can give us true and lasting peace which is His Peace. Thank you Sant’Egidio for holding this important event and allowing the whole world to participate. We are one family with you!

    It was so beautiful to see so many united in prayer for peace in Gaza, and to hear the words of the presiding cardinal that prayer in common is a force that can change history.
