On July 3, 2025, on Mount Argentera, Paolo Rovea left us, born in Mondovì, a medical graduate from the University of Turin who had specialized in Oncology and Radiation Oncology at the Molinette Hospital in Turin.

Paolo and Barbara, his wife, are members of the International Secretariat of the New Families Movement. Since their initial contact with the Focolare Movement, Paolo and Barbara have been able to accompany generations of children and families with intelligence, dedication and passion, becoming for many of them a firm and welcoming point of reference.

Together with Barbara, they were among the promoters of the Up2Me educational project, a path of integral formation focused on young people on the themes of affectivity, sexuality and personal growth.

An esteemed professional, he brought the Ideal of unity, dear to Chiara Lubich, inside the work environment, translating it into a style of care and closeness, with a secular and inclusive language, capable of speaking to all, especially those who were more fragile and in difficulty.

He deeply loved life, nature, and authentic relationships. He was always ready to get involved with generosity, with a desire to build bridges and create spaces of communion.

His testimony remains alive in those who knew him: a man of dialogue, a fellow traveler, a credible witness.
His earthly passing leaves a void, but also a bright heritage that we want to continue to carry on with his help from Heaven.
