The President of the Movement usually gives a reflection to guide the members in their meditation on the theme. Church, Face of Hope

The Focolare Movement in Italy & Albania organized a major Conference on “Church, Face of Hope”, from 7th-10th November in the Mariapolis Centre of Castelgandolfo. The event brought together approximately 900 participants from diverse social, religious, and community backgrounds. Reflecting Pope Francis’ vision for an open, inclusive Church, the conference centred around the themes of Mary as Mother of Humanity, Church, and Hope.
Each day offered a blend of keynotes, group dialogues, and artistic expressions. Discussions highlighted the Church’s role in promoting unity and resilience amid today’s societal challenges. On the final day, Margaret Karram and Jesús Morán, Focolare’s President and Vice-President, underscored the importance of synodality and mission. The conference highlighted the Church’s potential to be a beacon of hope, committed to inclusivity, dialogue and service, resonating far beyond ecclesial circles.

“Called to Hope” – Together for Europe Conference

From 31st October-2nd November, over 200 representatives from Together for Europe (TfE) gathered in the historic setting of Seggau Castle in Graz-Seckau, Austria. The theme, “Called to Hope,” brought together leaders and members from 52 Christian Movements, Communities, and Organizations across 19 countries, united by a mission to foster hope, peace, and reconciliation in Europe, especially in times of crisis.
