Today, 7 October, is the day of fasting and prayer for peace called by Pope Francis. We propose an excerpt from Chiara Lubich’s message to the ‘Youth for a United World’ in May 1998.
The Focolare Movement accepts the invitation of Pope Francis at the end of the solemn Mass in St Peter’s Square for the opening of the second session of the General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops and joins the day of prayer and fasting to implore peace in the world on 7 October 2024.
