2011 un dono d’amore: gli auguri di Maria Voce

“Dearest friends who follow the news and life of the Focolare via this website,

I’ve just returned from a short visit to Istanbul, a city rich in diversity. There I met people who are truly diverse: though they  belong to different churches and religions, they gave witness of their love  in a multitude of ways which I reciprocated. This exchange of love made us both experience a lot of joy. I would like to wish the same happiness to everyone because it’s a type of happiness that is not dependent on having, on possessions – since we can lose everything – but rather, it depends on being, on our being love as I witnessed there.

And so I would like to extend best wishes to everyone and to commit myself together with all of you to live this year that’s just beginning as a gift of love for whoever draws near to us, to inundate the world with peace and with joy.
