The Council of Nicaea: A Historic and Timely Page in the Life of the Church
According to most historians, the first ecumenical council of the Church began on 20th May, 1,700 years ago. It was the year 325, in Nicaea, present day İznik in Turkey, a small town 140 km south of Istanbul, surrounded by the ruins of a fortress that still speaks of those times.
