Around 50 people from 6 denominations gathered to explore Hope for Peace, for our Communities, in Creativity and the Arts, and for our Planet.
The group visited two local churches close to the Centre for Unity – the United Reformed church and the Roman Catholic parish church to meet their ministers and hear how they are building fraternal relationships.
There was also a ‘link up’ with the meeting in Rome to get a live update from a British participant at the Congress.
A visit to the shrine of St Alban – the first English martyr – on Sunday morning was a powerful moment as the group attended a joyful morning Eucharist in the splendour of the Anglican cathedral. Taking our unity in Jesus as our point of departure, we shared deeply and honestly, finding connections in our common hopes and our renewed commitment to unity.
