Celebrations are starting today, 7 December, all over the world, to mark the 100th anniversary of Chiara Lubich’s birth.
In this article written in 2008, not long after Chiara’s death, Sally McAllister recalls some of the key moments of Chiara’s visits to Britain between 1965 and 2004 and the contribution she brought to ecumenism and dialogue with people of different faiths or convictions.
