On 19 February 2026 friends old and new from at least five denominations gathered for an evening of thanksgiving for the presence of Focolare in Liverpool over six decades. Rt. Rev. John Sherrington, the Catholic Archbishop of Liverpool, celebrated Mass in an atmosphere of joy and festive gratitude.

Whilst the Focolare house is closing and some tears were shed also, the local communities in Liverpool and the North West continue to carry the torch for unity, and the LIFE of Focolare, “the hearth”, remains vibrant and hopeful.
