I gave it my best shot…
Mary Gateshill initially took on the role of manager of the Focolare Centre for Unity in Welwyn Garden City for 6 months. That was 8 years ago! As she now steps aside from this role, she reflects on her time managing this unique venue.

What stays with me from my holiday?
It was wonderful to have the opportunity to get right away for 2 weeks’ late summer, to somewhere ‘completely other’. I realised how nourishing a change of scene can be – for those fortunate to have the opportunity.

Knitting for the planet
#DaretoCare initiatives continue across the world, focussing this year on care for the environment. Christine Gilgannon shares her experience of getting involved in a project engaging with COP26, the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties which will happen in Glasgow on 1-12 November 2021.

Doing something to help
In December last year the large health centre next door to the church where I am the minister told us they were going to be the mass vaccination hub for our area. We had supported the pharmacy in the first lockdown so they knew we were up for helping out.
