The pandemic has brought into focus the importance of relationships, care and connection, inviting many of us to re- evaluate our lifestyles and priorities. Within the Focolare Movement the New Families, made up of families from all over the world, aim to bring the spirit of being a family everywhere by putting the words of the Gospel into action – in their homes, communities and wider society so as to contribute towards building the one human family.

We are commited to verifying the ecological sustainability of our structures and activities … We are dedicated to the creation of greater environmental awareness that will lead to more sustainable lifestyles.” Ecological conversion was one of the goals set by the Focolare Movement in the 2021 General Assembly. In response to this urgent need, the Focolare EcoPlan was initiated.

Today the Assembly discussed the President’s report on the past six years. The participants received the document over a week ago and so each one had time to examine it in detail. Many questions emerged, some of which were put to the President, Maria Voce, and to the Co-President Jesús Morán in the early afternoon.

General Assembly Diary 4, 27 January 2021

On the third and final day of spiritual retreat of the General Assembly, the icon of the Holy Trinity was at the centre of the meditations, reflections and communion. It was presented as a model of a “collective holiness” (Maria Voce) and relationships of love that bring out the “plan of God” on each person (Claudio Guerrieri).
