Many Christians today favor the approach of dialogue between faith and science. As Pope Francis writes, “all of society can be enriched thanks to this dialogue, which opens up new horizons for thought and expands the possibilities of reason.” After all, faith is not fearful of reason. It seeks and trusts reason. It values science for the simple reason that since there is only one Truth and since the light of reason and the light of faith both come from God, they cannot contradict each other. The Catholic Church’s position, therefore, is that she has no wish to hold back the marvelous progress of science. Indeed, the pathway of dialogue is needed, not least because it is linked to the promotion of peace and harmony in the world.Read more

L’unità, ha affermato recentemente Papa Leone XIV nell’udienza con tutti dell’Assemblea generale del Movimento dei Focolari, “è un seme, semplice ma potente, che attira migliaia di donne e uomini, suscita vocazioni, genera una spinta di evangelizzazione, ma anche opere sociali, culturali, artistiche, economiche, che è fermento di dialogo ecumenico e interreligioso”. Condividiamo alcune parole di Chiara Lubich, pronunciate il 9 novembre 1989 in un “Collegamento”, che ci presentano l’unità come la roccia su cui poggia la nostra vita.

Un’ Associazione, nata da chi ha vissuto un periodo a Loppiano (Incisa Val d’Arno, Italia), la Cittadella del Movimento dei Focolari, con la mission di sostenerla, cooperando con la sua Governance, per far sì che essa possa continuare ad essere un punto di speranza, un luogo di testimonianza e di fraternità universale, così come Chiara Lubich l’ha pensata fondandola.
