Lucio Dal Soglio was born in Vicenza (Italy) in 1927. He studied medicine and met the Focolare Movement around 1950. In February 1963 he went to Cameroon where he encountered an extraordinary, unpredictable adventure, as he himself described it, linked to the development of the Focolare Movement in Africa. From the premise “(…) The story of Fontem which you are about to read is the history of Fontem as I understand it.(…) things are described highlighting the way they impacted on me.
