[more]At the end of April, the Centre of the Focolare Movement sent a letter to all countries, explaining that an Extraordinary Communion of Goods and a special COVID Fund was launched on 21st April, to meet the needs of those suffering financially due to the Covid emergency. The Fund would help both individuals and families around the world and the Focolare’s little towns whose ability to give witness and to help in the formation of ‘new people’ had been adversely affected.

[more]In my road most people tend to keep themselves to themselves. But this started to change with the Thursday clap for carers. When it stopped I thought it would be good to continue to build on the neighbourly relationships that were just starting to blossom. So I dropped a note into all 24 houses in the road suggesting that anyone who was free and wanted to could pop out at 11am that Sunday morning for a short ‘social distancing bring-your-own coffee break.’
